NHPC Eligibility Criteria
2026
- Trainee
Engineer (Civil): Full
time regular Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Technology / B.Sc.
(Engineering) Degree in Civil Discipline from recognized Indian University
/ Institute approved by AICTE with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade
or AMIE (enrollment up to 31.05.2013) with minimum 60% marks or equivalent
grade.
- Trainee
Engineer (Electrical): Full
time regular Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology/B.Sc
(Engineering) Degree in Electrical Discipline from recognized Indian
University / Institute approved by AICTE with minimum 60% marks or
equivalent grade or AMIE (enrollment up to 31.05.2013) with minimum 60%
marks or equivalent grade. Electrical Engineering Discipline includes
Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Power Systems & High Voltage/
Power Engineering.
- Trainee
Engineer (Mechanical): Full
time regular Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology/B.Sc
(Engineering) Degree in Mechanical Discipline from recognized Indian
University / Institute approved by AICTE with minimum 60% marks or equivalent

NHPC Salary 2026
- Selected
candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs.50,000-3%-1,60,000(IDA)
(E2) during one year training period.
- On
successful completion of training, the candidates will be absorbed as
Engineer/Officer in the same scale with probation of one year.
- The total
annual emoluments for the new joinee shall be approx. Rs. 15 to 16 Lacs.
- Other
benefits include Dearness Allowance, HRA, Cafeteria Allowance, Performance
Related Pay (PRP), Medical Facility, PF, Pension, and Gratuity as per
company rules.
