Delhi University Teaching Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates must satisfy the Delhi University Teaching
eligibility criteria 2026 as per UGC norms.
- Educational
Qualification: As per UGC Regulations 2018 (and
amendments). Assistant Professor: Master’s degree with 55% marks + NET /
Ph.D. Associate Professor & Professor: Ph.D. degree with relevant
publications and experience.
- Experience: As
prescribed by UGC for each post (relevant teaching/research experience
required for Associate Professor and Professor).
- Age Limit: No
upper age limit.
- Nationality: Indian
Citizens (as per UGC / University rules).
Delhi University Teaching Salary 2026
Selected candidates will be placed in the Academic Pay Level as
per 7th CPC.
- Professor: Academic
Level 14 - Rs. 1,44,200 - Rs. 2,18,200
- Associate
Professor: Academic
Level 13A - Rs. 1,31,400 - Rs. 2,17,100
- Assistant
Professor: Academic
Level 10 - Rs. 57,700 - Rs. 1,82,400

Delhi University Teaching Selection Process 2026
The selection process will be as per UGC norms:
- Screening: Based
on academic credentials, research publications and experience (if number
of applications is large).
- Seminar /
Presentation: Required for Professor and Associate
Professor posts.
- Interview: Personal
interview before the Selection Committee.
- Final selection will be made on the
basis of performance in Interview / Seminar and verification of documents.
